BRAV reorganizes to meet the future

During the spring 2020, the BRAV Group underwent a reorganization – a reorganization that has been tough but necessary. The corona pandemic has of course affected the group but is not the only reason for the changes.
The reorganization has been led by new CEO Espen Falck Engelstad, who took office on March 1 – just before the corona crisis was a fact.

Brav Norway AS former Swix Sport AS is a major player in the sport and outdoor industry, and manages some of the most influential brands in the marketplace; Swix, Toko, Lundhags, Ulvang, Helsport and Hard Rocx brands.

The reorganization has involved both strategic, structural and personnel changes.

Everything has taken place during the current pandemic and instead of large company meetings, everything has been led digitally via video meetings, etc. All employees have received information about why the reorganization must be done and how it will be implemented and what it will lead to.

To make the process as painless as possible, Brav Group has worked efficiently and goal-oriented, it has not been an easy situation for anyone.

“It has been an extreme situation, especially tough when some of our employees had to leave. But I am overwhelmed by the will and ability Brav employees have shown to accept and support the changes, comments Espen Falck Engelstad ”.

 

Reason for the reorganization

We all know that we live in an enormously complex world, we have major environmental challenges, the sports industry is in crisis, globalization, technology and digitalisation are changing the world, how we do business and how we live our lives are changing rapidly.

Businesses must change to meet new requirements. BRAV has identified a number of areas that are critical to the business and where we need to change to meet the world that is constantly and rapidly changing. To name a few areas; we need to reduce our costs, increase our digital skills and build a strong global distribution.

 

The way forward

A plan has been set, a new organization is in place, we are recruiting new employees with a strong focus on digital competence and all processes / systems are optimized for the future. The goal is to become a well respected player on the international arena – a player who offers world-class products, knowledge and services to our customers – regardless of whether they come to us via mobile, a pop-up shop or via VR glasses.
